Decopy AI provides an online software tool designed to analyze text and estimate the likelihood that the text was generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) models. The Service is intended for educational, personal, and informational purposes to help users review their own writing.

Disclaimer of Academic Liability

NO GUARANTEE OF ACCURACY: AI detection technology is probabilistic, not deterministic. While Decopy AI strives for high accuracy, it is inherently impossible to achieve 100% certainty. The Service may produce false positives (flagging human text as AI) or false negatives (identifying AI text as human).

NOT INSTITUTIONAL PROOF: The results provided by Decopy AI are estimates and opinions based on mathematical algorithms. They do not constitute definitive proof of authorship, plagiarism, or academic misconduct.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY: You agree that Decopy AI and its creators shall not be held liable for any academic, professional, or disciplinary consequences resulting from the use of, or reliance on, our Service. We are not responsible if an educational institution (e.g., a university using Turnitin) reaches a different conclusion regarding your text than Decopy AI.

3. User Conduct and Restrictions

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable local, national, or international law or academic policy.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, hack, or decipher any algorithms or code comprising the Service.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or programmatic APIs to access the Service without our explicit written permission.
  • Use the Service to harass, abuse, or falsely accuse third parties of academic misconduct.
  • Attempt to overload, flood, or perform a denial-of-service attack on our infrastructure.

4. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, algorithms, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Decopy AI and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Decopy AI.

Your Content: Consistent with our Privacy Policy, we do not claim ownership of the text you submit for analysis, nor do we retain it.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. DECOPY AI EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

6. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL DECOPY AI, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, OR AGENTS, BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, ACADEMIC STANDING, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (I) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE; (II) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY; OR (III) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Decopy AI operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
