Academic Integrity Policy

We believe technology should amplify human potential, not replace it. Discover how Decopy AI supports academic honesty.

Our Vision of Integrity

In the age of artificial intelligence, the concept of “authorship” is evolving, but the foundation of education remains unchanged: critical thinking, personal research, and intellectual honesty. We believe every student deserves a fair evaluation of their work without algorithmic bias.

The Decopy AI Mission

We created this tool not to help students “bypass” checks, but to protect them from the technical flaws of existing systems. Our service helps to:

  • Eliminate False Accusations: Protect students whose natural writing style aligns with AI patterns (especially ESL students).
  • Provide Transparency: Show exactly which sentences might raise red flags for educators.
  • Encourage Revision: Prompt students to rephrase complex or flagged sections in their own voice.

Why We Oppose “Humanizers”

Unlike many competitors, Decopy AI fundamentally refuses to offer automated text rewriting tools (so-called “humanizers”). We consider this an ethical line that should not be crossed.

Automated humanization is an attempt to deceive. Our goal is diagnosis. We highlight problem areas, but a human must make the corrections. This is the only way to preserve the value of education.

Our Ethical Declaration

We do not help hide AI generation. We help verify the authenticity of your hard work. If text is generated, you should disclose it, not mask it.

Recommendations for Students

To ensure your work always meets academic integrity standards, we recommend:

1. Use AI as an Assistant, Not an Author

Artificial intelligence is great for brainstorming, outlining, or checking grammar. However, the final text must be written by you.

2. Add Personal Experience

The best way to prove a human wrote the text is to include unique examples, personal observations, and original conclusions that cannot be found in AI databases.

3. Be Transparent with Educators

If you used AI to assist in your research, it is best to note this in your introduction or citations. Honesty is the best defense for your reputation.

A Message to Educators

We urge educators not to use AI detector results as definitive proof of academic misconduct. Algorithms can make mistakes. Use our analysis as a starting point for a conversation with the student to better understand their writing and research process.
